Helping families communicate, heal old wounds, and reconnect across generations.
Family therapy addresses the patterns and dynamics that play out between parents, children, and extended family — the communication breakdowns, generational patterns, or a specific crisis that's brought everyone to the table.
At Reunion Counseling, family sessions focus on helping each member feel heard while working toward the shared goal of a healthier household. We pay particular attention to attachment patterns between parents and children, and to how each family member's role and communication style contributes to the larger dynamic.
Families often reach out during a major transition (divorce, blending households, a child's mental health struggle), after a rupture in trust, or simply because communication has broken down and everyone feels stuck talking past each other.
Sessions can include the whole family or specific combinations of family members, depending on what the situation calls for.
